International Training

Coordinated and taught milk quality procedures and dairy management skills to milk collectors and dairy farmers at Ridgewater College campus and on site in Moldova, Romania and the Ukraine

Coordinated four-week training experience for faculty members of Banat University of Agriculture, Timisoara, Romania, in DNA fingerprinting, genetic research, and teaching methods of extension at the University of Minnesota and heifer-raising practices as part of a collaborative exchange between Banat University and Ridgewater College

Coordinate and direct dairy processing training programs annually through the USDA Cochran Fellowship Program of Washington, DC, for trainees from the Eastern Block countries, South America, and the Pacific Rim

Coordinated and directed a four-week customized training program in English skills and American culture for students and faculty of Moscow University of Consumer Cooperatives, Moscow, Russia

Coordinated the customized training for farm business management training of Lithuanian Advisory Service in USA and in Lithuania

Coordinated the customized training for extension services and The World Bank to train agriculture lenders from the Baltic countries, funded by USDA

Assessed Kenya, East Africa's technical education with MnSCU staff to explore partnerships and develop relationships with the Kenya and Kisii district education ministries

Provided technical exchanges in dairy production, management, and milk quality as Associate Professor of Banat University of Timisoara, Romania

Taught "Dairy Technology" as a visiting Associate Professor at the University of Agricultural Sciences in Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara, Romania

Assessed Columbia's dairy industry to improve dairy management skills and determine the need for future training of employees for Columbia's dairy industry

Serves on board of directors for Hands Outstretched, a Christian foundation supporting the disabled of Romania through a home and workplace environment
